Professional Support

Professional support at One Degree responds to the realities of working within emotionally demanding roles and systems. Difficulties often emerge not because people lack care, commitment, or skill, but because there has been little space to pause, reflect, and think about what is unfolding beneath the surface. In these contexts, individuals and teams can become stuck in patterns that remain unspoken, unexamined, and hard to shift.

Clinical supervision is offered specifically to therapists, providing a reflective and collaborative space to support ethical practice, professional development, and sustainability in the work. Alongside this, group reflective practice, consultation, and training are offered to a wider range of practitioners, leaders, teams, and organisations working in helping, caring, or responsible roles.

Across professional contexts, the focus is on creating reflective space to explore patterns, relational dynamics, and the emotional impact of the work. Grounded in psychological theory and trauma-informed practice, the aim is not quick solutions, but greater clarity, connection, and resilience, supporting small, considered shifts that can lead to more meaningful and lasting change.

Supervision & Group Reflective Practice

Supervision and group reflective practice offer a structured, reflective space to think about the work, process challenges, and deepen professional understanding. The focus is on supporting ethical, thoughtful practice while attending to the emotional and relational impact of working in complex and demanding roles.

This work values collaboration, critical reflection, and curiosity, creating space to feel both supported and appropriately challenged in ways that strengthen confidence, clarity, and professional sustainability.

The approach is informed by the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision (Hawkins & Shohet), a relational and systemic framework that attends to multiple perspectives within the work. This provides a contained yet flexible structure for reflection, learning, and growth across both individual and group settings.

Consultation

Systemic, psychologically informed consultation provides a structured and reflective space to explore background history, patterns, and underlying dynamics through an attachment- and trauma-informed lens.

This work supports personal insight, professional development, and case or situation exploration, helping to deepen understanding of complexity and its impact within individuals, teams, or systems. Consultation may also be particularly valuable within educational and organisational settings, supporting more informed and relationally attuned responses.

Consultations are typically offered as extended sessions and may include a reflective summary, capturing key themes and considerations to support ongoing thinking, strategy, or decision-making.

Psychotherapy & Counselling

Individual psychotherapy and counselling for those seeking space to explore emotional difficulties, patterns, and experiences in greater depth.

This work is integrative and trauma-informed, offering a calm, reflective space to develop understanding, self-awareness, and greater choice in how you relate to yourself and others.
